Cloche Hat

I've always loved to wear hats, which is convenient since my eyes are very sensitive to light. While I was in Macy's doing some New Year's sale shopping with my mom, I tried on a cloche hat because I thought it looked cool and discovered that I look OK in them. Sadly, it wasn't discounted enough to get, but I found a very nice pattern for them here. This is modified a bit because of a screw up and me being to chicken to try back post double crochet. I want to make a grey one, too, and I'll probably try doing the bumps with that. I really like the way they look.

Anyway, I finished this during game night and sat around at the table like an idiot wearing it. I love this hat! Mom had the flower pin on hand (it came with a shirt of hers and she didn't like it with the shirt) and I think it goes really well with the hat. She also has a purple and, if I remember correctly, a black one? I may also get a cream-colored ribbon to put around it, too.

I used Loops & Threads Impeccable worsted yarn in chocolate for this. ♥

  1. oh, that's cute. and a great accessory! i think the ribbon would go well with it. you should try to get a ribbon to match the color of the flower.

  2. That hat's adorable. I have a felted wool cloche, but it's too big for me. Now I have to figure out how to knit one of these.
